Our three little cottages (MHAIRI'S takes 4, COLIN'S AND DOUGLAS are for singles or couples) have been delightfully created out of some retired farm buildings and are just perfect for a quiet break. Cheerily furnished and incredibly well appointed they instantly put you into holiday mood.
Lying between the two distinct parts of the village, the cottages are surrounded by forest and farmland - yet within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. So you have all the peace of the country and yet the perks of a busy little village. And so that you can keep up with our latest news, we have a blog! Check out our blog.
Wake up to the cock crowing and be lulled to sleep by the distant roar of the sea. All the cottages have sheltered little corners where you can sit in the sun and read the papers, or get a barbecue going; there is safe parking, dogs are welcome (we allow 2, but no alsations), and the family cottage is lovely and secluded for children. Please note that we have a strict 'No Smoking' policy for all the cottages.
Oh, and we must introduce ourselves. Mike & Trish Hurst, and we have a precious metal workshop , and we're just next door. We love the cottages, and we love our visitors, and all we want to do is make everything right for you - but you certainly won't see us if you don't want to. We've been at it for a long time , and if we have to get your fire to go, or mend the telly, you can just relax because we'll be there.
Carradale is a very special spot - just ask all the visitors that return year after year. At least half of our guests have been before which must mean something. If you want to do lots, there's lots to do - walking, island hopping, drinking whisky, golfing, striding out to the Mull of Kintyre. If all you want to do is potter down for the paper, collect some rolls from the bakers, sit on the harbour wall and watch the fishing boats or lie on the beach then you can do that as well. You certainly won't regret your visit.
We've tried to make on-line booking really easy for you; and don't forget that although payment is through Paypal, it doesn't require a Paypal account, but accepts most cards. If you don't want to pay this way either e-mail through the contact page , or phone us (01583 431 683); we can't accept bookings without a deposit.
CANCELLATIONS. If the booking is cancelled, for whatever reason, less than 4 weeks before the date of arrival, the balance must be paid in full. Deposits are non-returnable.
